For video projects including this one, I recruited employees to profile, performed initial interviews, assisted with on set interviews, worked with studio and agency talent to create storylines, provided edits, sourced imagery and approved music, all while staying within budget and on brand.
"Why do you give?" has become the program's leading question for employees to answer and express their pride in Microsoft Give.
This video from 2019 was a collection of interviews from previous years along with fresh video recorded on campus during the October Microsoft 5K. It was so easy to get employees to talk about giving at Microsoft, because it truly is core to Microsoft's culture.
In 2024, I managed content for the Microsoft On the Issues blog. I updated the site through a WordPress CMS. This work included uploading media, editing copy and setting a keyword strategy for tagging; additionally, trained new team members how to use and post articles. My work includes these posts:
I worked to bring giving to life by recruiting story subjects and connecting with a colleague to produce compelling stories highlighting Microsoft’s Employee Giving Program. My role was also that of editor and communications strategist to get these stories into the pipeline. I worked with the Director of Employee Giving to post publish-ready stories.
